Tournament Format
Here you will find information about the tournament format including how many teams are participating, game formats including the pre-tournament round, round robin and playoffs.
DIVISIONS FOR THE TOURNAMENT
Our 2021 tournament will feature six divisions of play - 2007s, 2008s, 2009s, 2010s, 2011s and 2012s. Division assignments for the 2010s, 2011s and 2012s will be determined by our pre-tournament seeding round. Our 2007s, 2008s and 2009s are by application only. If there is a division you would like to see in the future, please let us know!

GAME FORMAT
Our game format features the following:
-
Three (3) 20 minute, stop time periods for 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 divisions
-
Games for the 2012s will be three (3) 15 minute, stop periods
-
All games will feature a 5 minute warmup
-
Floods will take place every 2 periods
-
2 man refereeing at all games
-
1 minute break between periods
PRE-TOURNAMENT SEEDING ROUND
Our pre-tournament seeding round offers teams a chance to compete against each other to determine tournament division placement. Each of the 2010, 2011 and 2012 teams will participate in three (3) games in order to maximize the competitiveness of our tournament.

45 minute in length games
-
Two (2) 18 minute run time periods
-
2 minute warm up prior to each game
-
Games will be played 5-on-5 full ice
-
A winner will be determined at the conclusion of each game
-
If the game is tied at the end of regulation, a 2 minute three-on-three overtime period will take place​

If the game is still tied, a three (3) round shootout will take place. The shootout will continue until a winner is determined.

Points for each game will be determined as follows:
-
6 points - a win by 3 or more goals
-
5 points - a win by 2 goals
-
4 points - a win by 1 goal
-
3 points - a shootout win
-
2 points - a shootout loss
-
1 point - a loss in regulation by 1 goal
-
0 points - a loss in regulation by 2 or more goals

Following the conclusion of the pre-tournament seeding round, each team will be placed in an appropriate division according to the standings of the pre-tournament seeding round and the discretion of the tournament board of directors.
ROUND ROBIN FORMAT

Guaranteed three (3) games within your division

Points for each game will be determined as follows:

6 points - a win by 3 or more goals ​

5 points - a win by 2 goals

4 points - a win by 1 goal
-
3 points - a tie
-
2 points - a loss by 1 goal

1 point - a loss by 2 goals
-
0 points - a loss by 3 or more goals

PLAYOFF FORMAT
​
Top four (4) teams in each divisions will qualify for playoffs. Playoffs will remain in division only. The format includes the following matchups:

5th and 6th placement game
-
1st in the division vs 4th in the division (semi-final 1)
-
2nd in the division vs 3rd in the division (semi-final 2)

Bronze medal game
-
Gold medal game
